  • 146 Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, Maine — just off Route 27 on the Boothbay peninsula. The venue blends coastal Maine charm with creative landscapes like vineyards, meadows, and art spaces.

  • The barn has wheelchair access via ramp; the farmhouse has stairs. We recommend renting portable toilets that are lighted and ADA accessible. Let us know if accessibility accommodations are needed so we can help with planning.

  • We do not require any specific caterer or bar provider. You’re free to choose vendors that fit your vision — food trucks, family-style dinners, plated catering, or anything in between. There are no minimum food/ beverage service requirements from us. Food and beverage vendors must be licensed in the state of Maine.

  • Absolutely. Bring your own florist, DJ, photographer, etc., or work with vendors you love — we support flexibility and personal expression.

  • Our ideal guest count varies by setup and comfort, but most celebrations range around 50–80 guests. Our maximum guest count is 90. Layouts are flexible and designed with your flow in mind.

  • Yes — municipal parking is available across Route 27 at the Edgecomb Eddy School with advance coordination. Additional parking can be arranged in the lower meadows. Our farmstead is on a hilltop, overlooking acres of meadows at the base of the hillside vineyard. We have a winding country lane that goes from the hilltop to the meadows below. Due to the elevation change, shuttles are recommended for most guests. Those needing assistance can be dropped off and picked up directly at the farmstead.

  • Our wedding package does not include a commercial or dedicated kitchen. Food and beverage preparation must be fully provided by your chosen caterers and bartending vendors.

    Depending on your guest count and event layout, farm tables or 6' folding tables may be available for vendor setup and staging.

    If you opt to rent the entire farmhouse, you are welcome to use the residential kitchen for staging and preparation prior to the event. The kitchen is not equipped for in-house food production but does include countertops, a farmhouse-style island, sink, dishwasher, and refrigerator.

    We recommend confirming all equipment and workflow needs directly with your vendors to ensure a smooth setup.

  • Color Field Farm does not have public restrooms or on-site wastewater treatment to support large events. For the wedding day, couples are required to rent portable restrooms for guest use. We recommend a minimum of two restrooms with lighting, with at least one ADA-accessible unit to accommodate all guests.

    During the three-day wedding weekend, we provide access to a full bathroom on the second floor of the farmhouse for the exclusive use of the wedding party. If you opt to rent the entire farmhouse, an additional bathroom on the first floor is available. This bathroom is shared with the on-site coordinator during the wedding weekend.

    Due to septic limitations, access to farmhouse bathrooms is limited to the wedding party throughout the weekend celebration.

  • Event liability insurance is required. Details will be provided in your wedding agreement. Clients are encouraged to secure event insurance, to protect against regulatory or government-related cancellations, or other unforeseen changes.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. Because this is a working art gallery, damage deposits are also required for both the wedding package and the optional full farmhouse rental. Details about deposit amounts, payment schedule, and contract terms will be provided when you inquire, and will be outlined clearly in your wedding agreement.
