Our Story

Color Field Farm is owned and stewarded by a local family of artists and makers— painters, sculptors, musicians, vintners, flower farmers, and coffee roasters—united by a shared belief in the power of creative work and place.

At Color Field Farm

Down East Gallery

Since 2017, the farm has been home to Down East Gallery, an immersive art-in-the-home experience where every room of the historic farmhouse and barn is thoughtfully curated. Visitors encounter award-winning oil paintings by Brad Betts, paintings by Danielle Betts, and mixed-media works and sculpture by Sam Betts, alongside a rotating selection of featured artists.

Color Field Coffee Co.

In 2021, the family expanded their creative offerings with the launch of Color Field Coffee Co., a boutique micro-roastery rooted in craftsmanship and artisan quality. The roastery offers freshly roasted coffee beans, including the signature blend Wakened Birds, as well as Plum Jungle, an espresso blend created in collaboration with Ben Betts and inspired by his music album of the same name.

Color Field Coffee Co.

At its heart, Color Field Farm is an open invitation. The family welcomes visitors into their creative life—into spaces shaped by art, music, coffee, and the rhythms of an old Maine farm—offering a place to gather, linger, and be inspired.
