Our approach is based on modern hospitality: rent the farm and its yours. Nothing else is required: no food or beverage minimums, no per-person pricing, no required vendors.
You choose what matters most:
Food trucks, family-style meals, or full-service catering
Bartending of your choice, with flexible bar setups in the barn or courtyard
Use our curated, eclectic mix of tables, chairs, and lounge pieces—or bring in rentals
Optional tenting can be added on the property
Unlike venues with a single fixed ceremony site or seating layout, Color Field Farm offers multiple locations and furnishings—allowing each wedding to reflect the couple rather than a standard design.
A weekend to settle in.
Your celebration unfolds over three days:
Friday: Set-up and rehearsal, 1:00–8:00 pm. You are welcome to host your rehearsal dinner on site.
Saturday: Getting ready, ceremony, and celebration, 8:00 am–8:00 pm. Let the day unfold at your pace - this is your special day.
Sunday: Clean-up and departure, 8:00 am–12:00 pm. A time to pack your belongings, tidy up the spaces, and reflect on your beautiful wedding celebration.
This relaxed schedule allows time to arrive, prepare, and enjoy the weekend without rush.
Practical Details
Ideal guest count: 50-75 guests (90 guests maximum)
Accessibility: Barn is accessible by ramp; farmhouse requires stairs
Restrooms: Portable restroom rental required for events
Parking:
Municipal parking across the street available with advance town permission
Additional parking may be arranged in lower meadows
Shuttles are recommended, especially for guests needing assistance
Weather planning: The barn and optional tenting provide flexibility for Maine’s changing weather

A Three-Day Wedding Weekend, Thoughtfully Included
We offer one all-inclusive wedding package for a three-day weekend celebration at Color Field Farm. Your time on the property is intentionally unhurried, allowing space for gathering, creating, and celebrating without feeling rushed.
Your rental includes:
Exclusive use of Color Field Farm for the weekend (Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, during designated hours)
Access to multiple outdoor and indoor ceremony locations
Use of the farm for your rehearsal dinner
Use of a portion of the farmhouse for wedding-day preparation
Use of the historic barn and adjacent courtyard, lawn, and outdoor spaces
Use of of our eclectic mix of tables, chairs, and lounge furnishings in the barn
On-site venue support to answer questions about the property and support your wedding logistics
Color Field Farm is offered as a blank canvas—ready for you to design a celebration that feels authentic, meaningful, and entirely your own.
OPTIONAL ENHANCEMENTS
For those wishing to expand the celebration, couples may reserve the full farmhouse for the weekend. In addition to the second floor spaces included in our wedding package, you will also have access to the downstairs spaces in the farmhouse. This includes several rooms on either side of the central stair, as well as a full kitchen, and an additional 3/4 bath.
In the weeks leading up to your celebration, we can also discuss optional creative experiences—such as coffee roasting workshops, custom coffee gifts, and original artwork. These personalized experiences can be woven into your celebration as welcome moments, favors, or lasting mementos. Details are worked out collaboratively to reflect each couple’s ideas.
